01Read This First

You're not bad with tech. You just haven't had good tech help.

Most hosts I meet
have been made to feel
dumb by someone. Not here.

Most hosts I work with are running a real business, juggling guests and turnovers, and are then expected to be their own IT department. That's not fair, and it's not your fault. Here's what working with me actually feels like:

Zero judgment

There's no such thing as a dumb question here. If you don't know what a "webhook" is, that's exactly why I'm here.

Plain English, always

I'll explain what's happening and why, not just fix it and disappear. You'll walk away understanding your own setup.

Someone in your corner

I'm a host too. I've had the 11pm lockout panic. I'm not a call-center script. I actually get what's at stake.

02How I Help

The tech stuff, off your plate

From your booking software to the smart lock that won't cooperate, here's where hosts and property managers usually bring me in.

01

Hospitable Setup & Support

Getting Hospitable set up right the first time, or untangling what's already gone sideways: messaging rules, channels, calendars, the works.

02

Automations & AI, Simplified

Save hours a week with automations and AI tools that actually make sense for your properties, explained without the buzzwords.

03

The Tech In-Between

PriceLabs, StayFi, Guesty, smart locks, wifi, noise sensors, thermostats, streaming logins: the whole messy stack of tools and devices that makes a rental actually work.

04

Someone to Call When It Breaks

Ongoing support for hosts and PM companies who want a trusted tech person on speed dial, not a ticket number.

03For Property Managers

Running a portfolio, not a property

Managing dozens of units is a different problem from managing one. The tech has to work the same way every time, your team has to be able to run it without you, and someone has to own the mess when a platform breaks.

Talk Through Your Portfolio
  1. 01

    One setup, repeated

Your properties get configured the same way every time, so onboarding unit forty-eight looks exactly like unit three instead of starting from scratch.

  2. 02

    Your team, trained

I'd rather train your co-hosts and assistants to handle the routine work themselves than be a permanent bottleneck. You escalate to me for what actually needs me.

  3. 03

I sit in the support queue

When it's a bug on the platform's end, chasing it is my job. I know how to write a ticket that gets resolved instead of bounced, and I follow it through so your team can forget about it. Support clients get a reply from me within 24 hours on business days.

  4. 04

Everything documented and handed to you

I'm one person, and you should plan for that. Every setup I build comes with written documentation that belongs to you, so nothing critical lives only in my head. If I got hit by a bus, your team would still have the runbook.

04About Jen

The nerd behind The Host OS

  • 25 years in tech support
  • 5-star Superhost
  • Host, not just a vendor

I spent 25 years in tech support long before I ever hosted a guest, so when I tell you I can fix something, I mean it. Then I became a Superhost myself, and realized most of the "tech help" out there for hosts is either too basic or talks down to you like you should already know this stuff.

I built The Host OS to be the opposite of that. I'm the person you text when your smart lock is being weird at 10pm before a check-in, or when you just want someone to explain what an automation actually does before you turn it on. No condescension, no upsells you don't need, just someone who's genuinely got your back.

05How It Works

Getting help is easy. That's the whole point.

1

Book a free call

Grab a spot on my calendar. No forms, no sales pitch, just 30 minutes to talk through what's going on.

2

We figure it out together

I'll ask about your setup, listen to what's frustrating you, and tell you honestly what I can do to help.

3

You get it fixed, and understood

I'll solve the problem and make sure you actually understand what happened, so you feel more confident next time.

06What It Costs

No mystery pricing

You shouldn't have to sit through a sales call just to find out what something costs. Here's where most hosts and property managers start.

01

Strategy Hour

$250

"I just need answers."

  • 60 minutes, live, screen shared
  • Your questions, in your order
  • A written recap of what to change, in priority order
  • You keep your passwords. You drive, I guide.

Need a deeper look? There's a 90-minute version with a full written roadmap.

02

Projects

from $950

"Something needs fixing or building."

  • Tech stack audits, Hospitable setup, automations, device installs
  • Flat fee, agreed before any work starts
  • You get a written map of your setup, not just a fix
03

Ongoing Support

from $425/month

"I want someone on call."

  • 5, 10, or 20 hours a month
  • A reply within 24 hours on business days, usually much sooner
  • A direct line to me, not a ticket number
  • When it's a bug on the platform's end, I sit in that queue so you don't have to

Founding client rates available. Ask me on the call.

Every project is quoted as a flat fee before any work starts. You will never get an invoice you didn't expect.

07Questions, Answered

Stuff hosts usually ask me

I really don't know anything about tech. Will I be able to keep up?

Yes, honestly. Most of the hosts I work with feel exactly this way, and it's the reason I exist. I explain everything in plain language, at your pace, with zero judgment. You don't need to "keep up." That's my job.

What exactly can you help with?

Hospitable setup and troubleshooting, PriceLabs, StayFi, Guesty, automations and AI tools, smart locks, wifi, noise sensors, thermostats, streaming devices, basically anything tech-related that touches your rental. If you're not sure whether it's "my thing," just ask on the call.

Do you work with property management companies, or just individual hosts?

Both. I help solo hosts get set up and unstuck, and I work with PM companies who want their tech stack standardized and their team trained so they're not reinventing the wheel on every property.

What access do you need to my accounts?

Often none at all. For a strategy hour you share your screen and stay in the driver's seat: you click, I talk you through it, and I never touch your passwords. For hands-on work where I do need in, I ask to be added as my own user wherever the platform supports it (Hospitable does), so you can see exactly what I did and remove me with one click. I don't ask for shared passwords when there's a proper way in, I don't keep credentials in plain text, and access ends when the job does. If you'd rather I never had access at all, say so and we'll work that way.

What does it cost?

It's all listed above, no digging required. A strategy hour is $250, projects start at $950, and ongoing support starts at $425 a month. Projects are quoted as a flat fee before any work starts, so you always know the number in advance. The first call is free, and that's where we work out which one you actually need.

What if my problem isn't on your list?

Ask anyway. If it's genuinely outside my wheelhouse, I'll tell you straight and point you toward someone who can help. I'm not going to waste your time or money.
